When you run a tech blog, you have to kind of think of the type of people who are really into tech stuff.  I try to do this, and I try to assume that many people who might read this type of blog are much like me - a bit nerdy with a proclivity toward slightly nerdy things.  So, sometimes I stray a bit from only the gadgetry to give some news stories that are off the beaten path, but still have appeal.

Today, we celebrate the anniversary of Mothra vs. Godzilla.  I would like to thank the good people at Wired for reminding me that today is indeed the day when, so many years ago, the great film that would help me kill many a weekend with my buddies was released.  This is probably the worst movie I have seen more than 20 times in my life.  As such, I wanted to take this moment to salute such an epic film.

Admit it.  There will never be a Japanese movie about two giant monsters doing battle that will hold a candle to Mothra vs. Godzilla.
