It’s a fair question.  Will Apple continue to thrive as the United States enters a recession?  It’s a question tackled in this blog on CNN, and one I hadn’t particularly thought of, myself.  It’s loaded with many intricacies and idiosyncrasies that make it a tough nut to crack, to be totally honest.  However, this writer takes a good solid look at the situation and analyzes the data rather well.

I remain unconvinced that Apple can continue to succeed at its current rate of growth in the face of economic downturn or slowdown or whatever euphemism you like for what’s happening right now.  However, Apple should still grow. They have yet to reach market-share capacity, and they’re very forward-thinking as a company.  One could argue that much of the downturn we’re seeing at the moment is the product of the United States economy struggling to regain its grip on the past.  Apple has been looking ahead for a decade now, and such thinking should serve them well through these hard times.
