I used to say I believed in aliens.  I really did.  I would watch Star Wars and Star Trek and read books about the stars.  I dreamed of aliens, to the point that I had all the Aliens toys long before my parents would ever entertain the notion of allowing me to watch their movies.  I even liked the Predator toys because they looked like they could hold their own against the Aliens (apparently I was not alone in this).

I have dreamed of the day when some large establishment would vindicate my belief in extraterrestrials.  The government broadcasts stuff into space, but that’s mostly a “just in case” measure.  But now, in their own preventative PC move, the Vatican has declared aliens to be our brothers under God.  I love this.  The Vatican is hedging their bets about life on other planets.  Does it get any better?
